Dinotopia Font

1999-02-26: I decided to create a web page using the Dinotopia font (from James Gurney's "Dinotopia" books). I did this for two reasons: I wanted to see if the Dinotopia font was readable, and how much of a pain it would be to create fonts using .gifs. I wrote a script that converted the plain text into image tags. The resulting page turns out looking very nice, you will probably find the font itself unreadable. :)

2010-11-16 : Victor Cain brought to my attention that Michael Lee & Josh Dixon (a team that has made many sci-fi and fantasy fonts) has created a Dinotopia font.

9/26/06 pretty good but it would be better if you had a translation under each line or paragraph
2006-09-27 : That's reasonable, but the point of the exercise is to see what a large quantity of unmitigated Dinotopian text looks like. Also, you can see what each letter is by hovering the mouse over it. If you really want to see the whole thing in English, look at the source. :)
-- Louis! :)
2010-04-06 : It's amazing! Just watched Dinotopia and I'd love to learn how to write like this :)
