After breakfast this morning, I worked for a little while on "viewer" mode for the walk tracker. Then I headed off and did two laps around Forest Park. Wow! That was a lot harder than I expected, but it did it and kept up the pace. I'm sure if I did it at a slower pace it would have been easier.

After cleaning up, I went out to lunch with Michelle to an Asian restaurant in the CWE called Sapphire. It was really good, especially the appetizer combination platter. We'll definitely have to go there again.

We came home, and Michelle went in to work. I really want a good combination work-out shirt / sun shirt in a light color, so I did some research on line. I checked out REI and Under Armour. Then I went to Sports Authority and REI to try stuff on. The selection at both stores wasn't great.

The closest thing REI has is the OXT Long Sleeve Tech Tee ($26). I tried it on, and the small was pretty reasonable. REI also has MTS medium weight underwear ($30) which is also about right, though a bit warm. REI also had a UA COmpression UPF 30+ in medium ($35), which I tried. It was pretty tight, but that's probably intentional.

At Sports Authority, they had the UA HeatGear UA Tech ($35). A medium was looser than I was hoping for, but the small was a bit binding in the armits and neck. I couldn't find any other UA gear to try on. I did find a Nike Fit Dry medium long sleeve shirt that was form fitting ($36). It was pretty much exactly what I was looking for, so I bought it for now. I haven't looked Nike stuff up on line.

I want something form fitting, but the UA compression stuff is rather pricy. The UA HeatGear line is what I'm looking for though. REI doesn't have anything that is light colored. (I didn't find anything relevant at Target.)

I stopped by Straub's to get some more salad fixings for dinner. Then I came home and did some cleaning up, mostly cleaning up Michelle's flowers. Michelle came home at 5pm and we had a quick dinner, then I headed out to the Saint Louis Unix User's Group (SLUUG) meeting.

At the SLUUG meeting, they had a presentation on a web bookmark management program called SiteBar, then a call for questions, then a presentation on OpenSolaris. The meeting ran from 6:30 to 9, so I came home immediately afterwards.

Michelle and I had a little dessert and went to bed.
