This morning we packed up all the food we bought last night into the car and went to Michelle's Mom's house for breakfast. We had blueberry pancakes, cantelope, strawberries, and orange juice.

We cleaned up breakfast and went on another tour of the construction in the house.

For lunch, we had a cheese party with seven kinds of cheese and three kinds of olives. Michelle and her Mom went to pick up Daniel from the airport, while Mom and I cleaned up from lunch. We also read for a while and went for a walk while they were gone.

Then Daniel arrived home, we went on another tour of the house.

Afterwards, Michelle trimmed her Mom's roses, while Daniel and I helped relocate some stepping stones. We realize we didn't actually have any charcoal, so Michelle and I went to Schucks for a little last minute grocery shopping. Daniel fired up the grill, and Michelle grilled hamburgers and brauts. Everyone sat down for a grand feast of cheeseburgers with grilled pinapple slices, lettuce, tomatoes, dill pickles, brautwurst, corn on the cob, cole slaw, potato salad, chips with french onion dip, avacado dip, and sun tea.

After clean up, everyone went for a walk around the block.

We started planning for fireworks. We decided to park an escape care about half way home from the fireworks so that we wouldn't have to walf home so far in the dark. Also, by parking it early, we were actually able to get a spot. Michelle and Daniel took Michelle's Mom's car off to find a spot, while I followed in a chase car to bring them home.

When we got home, Michelle's Mom had pade a cookie party for us from the peanut butter cookies that Michelle had made for us earlier and a pitcher of milk. When it was time to head for the fireworks, we packed up towels to sit on and bug spray. Michelle's Mom decided no to go since she was tired and had a head ache, so Michelle, I, Daniel, and my Mom walked down the the park (near Elm and 44). It was very busy and the carnival was in full swing, but we found a good spot on the hillside. Finally the fireworks started, and we watched a greate display.

We walked back to our strategically located car, congratulated ourselves on planning ahead, and returned to Michelle's Mom's house. Then we packed up our stuff and headed home.
