Today Mom and I went to Crepes Etc for the free coffe breakfast special. Mom had an apple, brown sugar, and cinnamon crepe, and I had a sun-dried tomato, chicken, and goat cheese crepe.

At home, we worked on laundry and I caught up on mail and balanced the checkbook.

We went to the Arch to see the high water of the Mississippi. It was up about 10 steps / 6 feet or so. Part of the temporary fence had been knocked into the water. Suddnely we saw about five park service vehicles pull up to the top of the stairs - two golf carts, a mini back hoe, a mini front loader and a lawn mower! All the park service people went down and pulled the pieces of fence out of the river with gaffs and hooks. They ran ropes down from the tractors, but I think they ended up doing most of the work by hand. They certainly kept us entertained.

Then we picked Michelle's Mom up at home and took her to the dentist. We had lunch at Bread Company there, then went to Straubs so I could get flowers for Michelle.

We came home. We worked on laundry (I consulted with Mom on how to improve my ironing technique), and I got ready to go out to dinner with Michelle.

Michelle picked up her Mom from the dentist, stopped by the drug store, and dropped her off at her home. Michelle came home, and then I took her out to the Greek restaurant for our anniversary dinner.

After dinner, we came home, and Michelle had to go back in to work to finish dictating some cases. I watched the end of Seabiscuit with Mom.
