This morning, Mom and I had breakfast at our hotel and checked out. We headed east out of Duluth into Wisconsin, and then south to St. Louis.

My iPhone came in handy. I was able to find a Starbucks for us in Eau Clair that we never would have found otherwise. I was navigating and Mom was driving - "Turn right here, now right on this street, now left at this light, now left again..." "Where? Here?" "Yes, here, this driveway!" and we were in the parking lot before Mom even realized the building was a Starbucks! :)

We also wanted to stop at a cheese factory, since we were in Wisconsin. I found the Carr Valley Cheese Company in Mauston, so we stopped there. The factory was closed since it was Sunday, but we could see the equipment - big troughs and paddles, like at Beecher's but bigger. We got three kinds of cheese, and some crackers. We got the Benedictine cheese, which was very good. It tasted like Beecher's Flagship but creamier. We got some Black Sheep Truffle cheese, which we didn't really care for. And finally, we got some cheese curd - squeeky cheese!

We continued south. We stopped at El Paso (just north of Bloomington) for a Blizzard from Dairy Queen (again, found on my iPhone). I got a chocolate chip cookie dough Blizzard and Mom got a cappuccino Heath Blizzard. Yum!

Finally the Arch came into view and we arrived in St. Louis.

I took Mom on a walking tour of the Central West End, and when Michelle got home, we went to Bread Company for dinner.
